IS OF THE ESSENCE We are dedicated team working around the clock to educate decision makers and the world about the urgency and feasibility of banning space-based weapons, and about the steps being taken to accomplish this. The current U.S. administration is committed to deploying missile defense systems, inexorably linked to space-based weapons. This is the only time in history when we can achieve this ban on space-based weapons...before the accelerating momentum is put into place and/or before the deployment of operational space-based weapons. We have a bill, the Space Preservation Act, and a companion Space Preservation Treaty that will ban all space-based weapons that is ready to be signed into law. The Treaty has been introduced on the floor of the Canadian Parliament, in Resolutions being introduced in cities, and has been delivered to over 100 world leaders at the recent World Summit. A call to convene a Space Preservation Treaty Conference has been introduced in the Canadian Parliament. Most leaders have signed previous agreements or have stated they want no weapons in space. We can and must draw the line here and achieve this ban of all space-based weapons, and prohibit the use of weapons that could destroy or damage objects in space that are in orbit (e.g. satellites), and we must stop the R&D, testing, manufacturing, production and deployment of these weapons. It is doable. We have just enough time. We need help. ICIS has educational materials and a strategic action plan in motion that needs to be funded. We can achieve this ban of all space-based weapons and we intend to do it. We can put a literal lid on the weapons and war industry...before it's too late. The key is to simultaneously work with a positive alternative vision to transform the war industry into a cooperative world space industry (and other industries). We need to educate about what IS in space and what CAN be of a civil, commercial, entrepreneurial and military nature that is not related to space-based weapons or systems. This ban will preserve the nearly 50 years of human evolution into space without operational space-based weapons. This will stimulate a peace economy...more jobs and profits, a new market place based on the clean and safe space R&D of technology, products and service applied directly to solving urgent human and environmental problems including the energy crisis. This will build a global security system that uses space technology not as force multiplyers in wars, but to enhance communication and information exchanges on all issues, bringing the world, including adversaries, together. Space technology is no longer going to be used as "force multiplyers" in wars or for escalating weapons and war into space (to "seize the high ground" to "dominate and control" space and the world) with only spin-off applications for human needs. That's the old paradigm. In the new paradigm, space technology and information services are for direct human needs. Space technology is to be used for such things as observing earth so we can verify arms agreements including the reduction and elimination of nuclear weapons and missiles and other dangerous and polluting technologies. It is to be used for early warning of natural or man-made disasters, so we can see where the sick waters and environmental pollution is and clean that up, to see where suffering people are so we can send the troops in with medicine, food and water and build aqueducts or drought control or whatever people need for re-building, to educate to help remove poverty and disease, to create sustainable development and alternative energy sources. Preserving peace in space gives us the time and place in which we shall choose to apply our highest consciousness to heal and love each other on this home planet with respect for our diversity, acknowledgement of our unity, and recognition that everyone is on a different place on the path. We shall now come from compassion and respect for the life we see on earth from space - all sacred life. As we ban all space-based weapons a new vision emerges in the contest of a new paradigm, a whole new way of thinking. This is a platform that is all inclusive. It will awaken and shift individual and collective consciousness. It will impact all issues. The ban will move us into a lifestyle on earth where war becomes archaic. But, if weapons are allowed to be deployed into space, if just the usual momentum of funding, vested interests and technology gets put into place, and that process, too, is in accelerated motion with intention, we would not be able to turn-back. We'd get only more of the same suffering and destruction on earth, and worse. The stakes are high. There are a range of viewpoints. Some want nothing in space, to take down the approximately 2000 satellites...others want weapons in space whether they would work or not. Nevertheless, the reality is that with all the viewpoints and perspectives, with all the belief systems and urgent problems on earth, we can rise above and choose to educate about, support, and achieve a ban on all space-based weapons...and achieve it...at the one moment in time when we can. By banning space-based weapons we are causing "second order change" to occur. Do we want more of the same ... or do we want to help pivot the course of history by choosing to ban all space-based weapons and transform the war industry and mindset. We cannot shut down the Complex or stop humans from moving into space...but we can continue to evolve into space without weapons. As we do this, we will learn more truth about who we are, and will use space age consciousness and technology to solve problems on earth as we evolve into space. This is the time to choose. We need immediate funding to cover our up-front expenses for our immediate important work, including meetings and projects, costs of printing, postage, travel, and communication. We need long term and ongoing funding to coordinate efforts to ban space-based weapons, to educate and activate. By preserving peace in space, we can and will have peace on earth. We need your help.
